The Hotel

With this photomontage, I tried to realize a composition in the

spirit of the french painter Roland Cat whom I have presented here

some months ago (see photo "The night" at this adress :

http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=1837089). This concrete

building given up to the nature was photographed during my journey in

Tuscany in the last october. Indeed, this is not one of the more

beautifull monuments of the region, but the drearyness of this modern

ruin met on the side of a desert road under a leaden sky a few

minutes before nightfall has so much remind me the Roland Cats

universe that I absolutely wanted to take a shot. The manipulation in

PhotoShop has consisted in replace the too uniformly grey sky by an

other a bit more interesting, erase an electric pole and wires which

cross the picture from left to right, and add an eagle gliding above

the building.

I doubt that this work will make you to give shouts of rapture, but I

would be all the same interested to know the feelings that the

atmosphere which is given off inspire to you.
