koval 0 Posted December 17, 2003 I dont like to use as shallow Dof on 50mm 1.8 canon . IT tends to have problem with rendering sharp points...this one suffered a bit imho Link to comment
alan chan 0 Posted December 18, 2003 Piotr, I like this portrait, the eyes are spot on so i really don't mind about the short DOF. Lighting is superb ! I also wonder what he was was holding? I am wondering whether it would look better by dimiminishing it by either throwing this out-focus or simply darken it. To me, it is more of causing distraction than constituting a constructive effect. Just my opinion :) BTW congrats for receiving another honor in Practical Photography :) Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted December 18, 2003 Piotr, this is another terrific portrait. You have quite a portfolio. Great expression, nice light, and interesting depth of field. I also saw your priest shot in Practical Photography--congratulations. Link to comment
jerry lee 0 Posted January 13, 2004 I could see it was a duck bill and head. Didnt know it was a walker stick. Wondered why he would be holding a decoy or real duck; thought he was duck hunting or something ? Picture Sean Connery as the man ? Link to comment
