Mayor of Papua New Guinea

alecee

This is not a composite picture. I only changed the mayor into B&W and left the canvas painting color as it is.

Thanks for your comments on my shot. You do a great job with color. I like this as a candid shot.

Your portfolio is filled with wonderful color! You sure do include a lot of information in your shots. (They) seem very well thought out though, and I like that. I find myself 'involved' with your photography in contrast to being just a passive observer. Nice work.

Alec, the partial B/W conversion really intensifies this image. You are hereby added to my list of 'interesting persons' ....

I think changing the figure to black and white was a brilliant stroke. That single act conveys a lot of information and commentary.

This gives another meaning to the term "colored people"... Very nice idea. I also love very much the picture of the red girl in front of the Sydney Opera house... Felicitations

Your portfolio shows that you are a master with colors. I don't know how you do it so consistently well. Would love your feedback.

The wild color of the background really grabs the eye (as it does in others of your shots). Here, the selective b&w trick seems gimmicky to me; I'd like to see the version with him in color, which I'm guessing that I'd prefer. The character in the face and the setting can make for an effective portrait, though. Enjoy.
