Interesting view... I like it

This is a very engaging photo; there is clearly a story here. I think I would like it even more if the photo had more contrast, and if the top of the man's head had not been cropped out. Nice job!

An eloquent document. The presence of the young lady adds to the emotional power of this. A good example of black and white technique.

For the reasons stated by Lee, I cannot agree with David's statement that this photo is "a good example of black and white technique." I will add another reason: your subject is almost exactly centered in the frame. This is an OK shot, but until you apply better composition techniques and expose/print for better contrast, it won't be a great one.

 

It's a shame, because this could be a great shot; instead, it's an average shot of a great subject.

I think the digital cam, was not the good one to give us the mood you saw....
