Sunrise and Tree

Taken from the end Reef Blvd. at 11:05 am... Anchorage, Alaska.

Great sky. I love the drama and warm colos of it as well as the forground composition.

Great contrast between blue and orange. The composition is great as well.

I can't think of anything I'd change.

I personally like my snow white. A warming filter would have helped out here but I am not sure what it would have done to your sky? Nice comp.

I love the contrast of the color from the clouds and the icy cold blue of winter. Wonderful Picture.

I think there's a bit too strong blue cast in the photo. Don't take me wrong, I know what a blue moment is. I just think removing the cast should lighten up the sky and make the contrast between blue & orange better and make the photo more vivid. I took the privilege to show exactly what I mean. You'll judge the difference. I guess it's a matter of taste anyhow.

 

One thing is sure. This photo is a great capture. Makes me wait for the snowfall...

I think Jani did good with the slight reduction of blue, although I sure didn't mind the original as it was! Nice composition - the contrast of light and dark really works. The tree and fence are a great way to add interest to the image.

Very nice winter scene, Dave. It's hard for me to imagine the short period of daylight you have each day at this time of year. This looks like a sunset scene.
