alecee 0 Posted December 8, 2003 This photo was taken when storm clouds were forming around the Sydney Opera House. (Unmanipulated) The little girl and her brother was looking intently at the growing formation when I took this shot. Fellow photo.net member Stephen Hickel suggested composing the original shot into B&W with only the girl in color. Here is the end result. Better? Link to comment

gavinberg 0 Posted December 20, 2003 i do like the results (i like this type of alteration as you can tell from my portfolio), but i think i would have left both children in color as i find the second boy a slight distraction. Otherwise i love the bright orange! Link to comment
neild 1 Posted December 21, 2003 I like the idea, but I find that the red is too much - a more subtle version would be better I think. Composition is good, well done!I have a similarly styled photo. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted February 6, 2004 In a miriad of photos of the Opera House, this is unique. Well done - love the clash of the red against grey - one of the rare occasions when partial desaturation really works well for me. Link to comment
