david.bryan 0 Posted December 6, 2003 Wow, very nice shot. Is it the lens that gives you the ability to focus on everything in the shot? (im a newbee) help me out Link to comment
california-seascapes-photo 0 Posted December 7, 2003 Outstanding DOF. If you don't mind me asking, as we get closer to Dec. 21, (the shortest day of the year) how many hours of sunlight are you getting up in Alaska? And when the sun is up doesn't it seem to travel along the horizon as seen in the photo or do you reach a point when you get nearly 24 hours of darkness? Link to comment
kevinbriggs 0 Posted December 7, 2003 Looks like the terra firma from another planet! Link to comment
dave_k1 0 Posted December 7, 2003 The Next sunrise: 9:56 a.m. and the Next sunset: 3:44 p.m. Here in Anchorage on Dec. 21 the sun still makes an appearance for five hours. Total darkness only happens above the Arctic Circle, which is hundreds of miles north of Anchorage. This time of year the sun stays low on the horizon. It barely got above the mountain in the photo. Thanks for the commnets. Link to comment
brianhamill 0 Posted December 7, 2003 This is very nice, though can't say I'd want to stand around there for very long. Stunning depth and sharpness. Link to comment

vuyisich 0 Posted December 8, 2003 The only suggestion I can think of right now is to crop from the right until the photo is square. This crop would eliminate the right side (which I don't really care for) and place the sun in the corner. Link to comment
return_visit 0 Posted October 24, 2004 Stark and serene. It's all out there and it's all right here! Link to comment
