I've never seen such a original photo! A piece of masterwork!

Really interesting cabbage shot, or portrait shot. I suppose you were the most original in your group. I like those eyes looking at the camera. The only thing I would amend is the part of the cabbage that is out of focus above her eyes.

Pim,thanks for this honor and Charo,yes I agree with you about the cabbage over her eyes,but I think it's still ok.

There's a photo by Edward Weston of a cabbage leaf (http://www.realites-metamorphoses.com/gb/02parcours/09.html)- incredibly, it's one of the most beautiful photographs I've ever seen, so maybe your homework assignment wasn't as weird as it sounded.

 

As for your image, it is a wonderful portrait- the only improvements I can think of are to deal with the aforementioned lack of focus on the top leaf, and perhaps to crop tighter to the face on the right to exclude the background there.

I like it the idea. It almost makes me feel that I would prefer not to have anything but skin and leaves ..

Monika, I love this shot. Great textures harkening back to Weston and others. My only wish is that you would have got everything in focus. Could you reshoot this?

love the idea that the cabbage leaf edges right above the eyes are slightly out of focus the draw the viewer into her expression. very clever! just wish you had cropped or burned in more the unsightly top right corner.

Reminds me of the Cabbage Patch Kids (toy) craze of a few years back. Is everything more lovely draped in cabbage?

nice ideea but i would make the lefs sepia. :) and the eyes green as the lefs ;)..or sepia
