I love the angle of the photo and the sun. The lighting is such that you don't lose much in detail on the shadow side.

You are lucky to have access that often to such a beautiful subject. And your view of it keep changing picture after pictures. I never get tired seeing your work. Keep up! Les thanks for your trying in "straightening" and making the image more conventional. In my works, I do not straighten my photos in general because I prefer to keep it as it is. Your work is very good but I prefer my original photo. I have other shots that would surely benefit to be 'straightened'. I will try to do the correction is some of my futur shots, but I do not find this operation to be easy.

Having taken the exact same shot with a 21mm lens, I do not like the extreme wide angle distortion. The straightened version is preferable, although it seems to lack sharpness.

I "straightened" this image using Andromeda LensDoc, a PS plugin. Whenever you do fairly extreme perspective correction, you do get some unsharpness, which I could not correct without introducing artifacts due to the low res of the file I had to work with. I often like uncorrected perspective, and was just curious as to how people would react on this one...

I like the distortion. As if the castle were marching forward! Lovely sky too.
