Being from the Cary, NC area, the first thought I had of this was "home". The colors in the Raleigh area can be so vibrant at times. Also, as in this photo, you get a good deal of reflective color on objects. The lighting being kept behind the tree really helped you maintain the depth of color commonly found in the surroundings for that time of year. However, even I wouldn't rule out a hint of PS work in colors.

It's the focus that is off, just a little, for me. Still, a nice photo.

I generally add some color saturation to all my uploads as they tend to look washed out once I resize for the web. Perhaps that isn't neccessary with this new digital. The early morning sun gives lots of depth to the colors and perhaps it was enough in this case. Thanks for your comments. I am still in the learning process. I hope with a bit more practice I will be getting better work.

Vuu... I work in Morrisville and commute from Garner into town. This location is within walking distance of my home and was taken this morning 11/22/03. Glad you recognized it as NC.

Have any plans for your old camera ? ........ (-;

You're off to a great start with this cam. I agree about the slight desaturation but still a very nice moment you have here.

Wow, a digital SLR! I am overly green with envy. My first thought also was that it looked a wee bit too colourful. I find that sometimes saturating with LESS colour spikes it a bit without overdoing it. Very cozy image all the same Regina.

Hi Regina!

Given the "down home" simplicity of the scene, I think a lighter touch on the hue/sat slider might be more appropriate. That said, it WAS the vibrant color in the thumbnail that caught my eye! As unequivocable as ever, jim.

Wonderful shot, too bad about the chromatic aberrations in the top in the tree branches. What lens did you have mounted ? I think you can get rid of some of that purple fringing by reprocessing this in photoshop and desaturating the magenta.

Great shot, although going thru your portfolio it was the framing of this picture that caught my eye. It's not easy ,for me anyway, to get it right. It completes the photo.
