Monks in line

In order to get into the inner compound and recieve the Initiation

from the Dalai Lama, all people including monks have to pass through

security gates. A mixture of national Indian guard and hired

Nepalese Gurkhas, plus the Dalai Lamas own security form this guard,

against any possible assasination or disruption attempts.
