miller1 0 Posted November 19, 2003 I added texture for age. Yes? No? Comments appreciated. Thanks for looking. Elizabeth Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted November 19, 2003 I think this is beautiful. Texture adds a quality that is hard to describe for me. It brings weight to the emotion. It's perfect. And, inspiring. Link to comment
ciofalo 0 Posted November 19, 2003 The double portrait is nice and the light effect is suggestive, but I find the aging effect too artificial and gratuitous. Age would not give a modern photo this aspect; it would just fade away, probably starting with the blues and the reds. Be patient, and in twenty years or so the photo will age all by itself, and we will see... Link to comment
john falkenstine 1 Posted November 19, 2003 I concur with the remarks above and find the "effect" on the man's face really terrible. Also the lighting on the girl's face in the L/H bottom cuts off her chin. Link to comment
miller1 0 Posted November 19, 2003 I really appreciate comments. I had a struggle as to where to put the light John. If I moved it down I would cut out part of his forehead, which I think might be better. I think I will try that. Then I can show more or her chin. Thanks again,,,really helps me. Glad you liked it T.C. I'm so impatient Michele to wait the 20 yrs. lol Thanks again,,,,,Elizabeth Link to comment
rita_borg 0 Posted November 20, 2003 i actually like it with the effect, the only thing that i would have loved to see is the complete face of the girl. other than that i think it is a very nice shot. Link to comment
jeff d 1 Posted November 23, 2003 ... it looks like lizard skin. I doubt that you were looking for that effect. Please repost without the leather effect. The image is quite good. Very effective use of shadowing. Link to comment
michaelk 0 Posted November 26, 2003 I like the idea but I think there is to much of a vignette and texture to the photo. Melancholytron is a great plug in to play with this effect. www.flamingpear.com It works with PSP or PS Link to comment
