dave_k1 0 Posted November 18, 2003 Bit of a cold snap this week...Temps down to 0°F. This maybe Alaska After All. ..........Looking North down Turnagain Arm from Bird Point. Link to comment
sauerwine 0 Posted November 18, 2003 WHERE is this? I like how the white patch of snow in the foreground mimics a range of mountains, like those in the distance. There's a feeling of symmetry through chaos here, with the standing timber, that is frequently found, but rarely so well captured; in nature. Very nice! Link to comment

aepelbacher 0 Posted November 18, 2003 Awesome, Dave! And, it may be an easy life for a landscape photographer living near Anchorage, but MY shots of Alaska aren't ANYTHING compared to yours. I guess I'd have to MOVE there! LOL!! By the way ... what TIME is sunrise in Anchorage this time of year? Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted November 19, 2003 I love the pink sky in this shot. Very nice landscape! Link to comment
dave_k1 0 Posted November 19, 2003 I appreciate your comments. I must say that I have admired many of your Alaska pictures. The next sunrise is at 9:15 a.m. and the Next sunset is at 4:13 p.m. so it's not that hard to catch the early light. Thanks Link to comment
kevinbriggs 0 Posted November 19, 2003 Great foreground detail once again. Lovely colors as well! Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted November 22, 2003 Dave, will you try taking a bad shot? I just want to make sure that a bad photograph can be taken in Alaska! Link to comment
kkwan 0 Posted November 22, 2003 Nice moody shot. You've effectively combined an interesting foreground with a beautiful background. Those mountains are just gorgeous in that light. Good detail throughout the frame. Well-done! Ahh, Alaska, a land of lingering light. I'll make it there, someday. Link to comment
