Mount McKinley

This is an old image I did many years ago. I found it recently when I

searched through some old slide magazines. I always liked it, so what

It's a very dramatic scene Uwe, but somehow the lighting seems a bit flat. I think it's that the sky is very similar in tone to a large chunk of the foothills, and the white snow isn't really lifted in tone, as much as would normally be expected for snow. I really like the clouds across the face of the peaks, and the overall layered composition.

Thanks for your comment,John. You are right the colour is not good anymore. The slide is now 10 years old and it looks a bit washed out. I also believe that the films have a much better quality today. But I still like the scenery very much. Regards,Uwe.

It must have been a great sight. That's a real worry about the slides deteriorating so much in only 10 years! You must be furious!
