The eye color is fantastic, it compliments his smokey grey fur and the wood, the wood has hues of blue in the sculpted parts...did you use a softening technique?

Jos, no softening technique. Just handheld using room light (and holding my breath while I clicked the shutter). Couldn't use a tripod because he was lying on top of an armoire so I had to climb up on a ladder to grab this! And his eyes are really an amazing blue! He's a real cutie.

Thank you everyone :) Lars, yes those eyes are real. The color varies slightly depending on the light, but they really are a stunning blue. But don't let that cute look fool you, he can be a real little stinker sometimes ;-) He's still a sweetie though.

This is a great shot, great expression. He is gorgeous, I have never seen that eye color on a cat, he is the Elizabeth Taylor of cats. I can see why Zippy is interested. ;-)
