At the kite festival

There is SO much color in Guatemala, my question is....is this too

much? Is it visually stunning or just colorfully confusing? Thank you

You have truly represented in this picture what Guatemala means for many who have visited this country: colour. And this is never too much at all! Nice picture, great composition!

I think it would be hard to get too much color. Here all the hues are in harmony - no clashing colors to my eye. Your careful composition and attention to the background help make this a successful image.

I coroborate Colby's comment. For me, the more color the better. The defocused background concentrates the attention on the two ladies and their accoutrements very well. I would have liked to have the face of the lady on the left a little more in a profile. Good photograph. Regards.

No, not confusing at all - the circular pattern and soft focus of the kite(?) make for good separation of the sharply-focused women in the foreground, dressed in equally-colorful, but linear patterns (well, except for the braided headband of the woman at left, which subtly echoes the big circles of the kite.)

This is my favorite of a fantastic folder!
