john falkenstine 1 Posted November 15, 2003 Sorry, but I think its way overmanipulated and confusing. If the basic photograph had just the item in the top l/h corner maybe...but not this way. Link to comment
rasim maslic 0 Posted November 15, 2003 all comments are good for me your to. thank you. this photo for you dont merite 1-1 for rating? this is triste!!! Link to comment
john falkenstine 1 Posted November 15, 2003 I prefer giving feedback to ratings. Once one drops below 4/4 people are offended and I don't want that to happen. Photography is lots of fun, and folks that post hopefully prefer a written critique to a mysterious rating. Link to comment
walter_strong3 0 Posted November 16, 2003 Its eye-catching and very creative. As a photograph.................uh! Link to comment

digitri 0 Posted November 16, 2003 Rasim, I like the colors and I think the original photo (which I assume it's the trees and the sky) is good. Personally I don't like the bottom sphere, it looks like its hanging on the trees. I know it not supposed to be reality, but even a fantasy has to have some credibility. Link to comment
rrohan 0 Posted November 17, 2003 Since you are going for a more fantasy sky here (with the sun in front of the clouds), you might consider manipulating the background photo a bit more flatter or filtered with a drawing type plug in so that they better match the more drawn look of the moon and sun. I had thoughts of doing a photo like this myself. Thought of prehaps putting a shadow behind the moon and sun to make it even more toung-in-cheek. Good photo. Link to comment
gabrielma 0 Posted November 17, 2003 I agree...as a photograph, this is not a photograph, it's more like something made with Bryce 3D or other virtual landscape generating program. It is pleasing, but it doesn't even have a context or background. It is hard to rate this or even critique it; this qualifies more as graphic art rather than photography, in my opinion. As art itself, it's a pleasing scene. Link to comment
