Old Glory, Haines, Alaska

For your weekend viewing pleasure... This is one from my "road trip

to Alaska" series. This was taken while in Haines, after leaving the

car in Skagway and setting off for a few weeks touring the Inside

Passage on the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry system. I was sitting on

the porch of the bed and breakfast in Ft. Seward. Any comments or

ratings are appreciated.

Am. flag takes away from the image

As a strictly non-political comment from a non-US citizen the flag does add zing to the image which would be quite different in feel without it. I'm more distracted by the contrail.

I am in complete opposition to Mr Katz's comment. It is fitting to associate the beauty portrayed in your fine photograph with the country that makes it possible to enjoy it. Regards.

i agree, without the flag this image would be very similar to others you have uploaded from this series, yet with the flag it gives a totally different feeling. i love it lou ann even though i am not american =0)
