i think the DOF isn't deep enough. the face seems as if it weren't belonged to the body. or you have blurred it in Photoshop?? best Regards:Suryo

That is the point . Surly I see your point however in this case that is very much what i find interesting and original about the image. IF I look at this for a few seconds I cant stop myself from seeing that the head is not real ( but it is ! ) The DOF is natural too ! :)

I love that portrait - but mainly because of the facial expression and good looks of the model. Also an interesting light!

Your portfolio contains plenty of evidence that you are a very skillful and creative photographer. This one may indeed be original, but I must say I don't find it as interesting as your other work. Perhaps I'm too adjusted to seeing young models displayed in a more flattering way.

Pyotr, I would have preferred to see the model's entire head, with those beautiful eyes and crop off slightly below her shoulder

Hi Piotr. You do amazing portraits,and this is a fine addition. The angular pose is great and you have the arresting eyes captured beautifully.

By using the shallow DOF and placing the emphasis on her facial expression in such fine clarity, I think you've made an interesting choice. I think it shows displays/points to her intelligence. There is a message here unique to this individual.

The DOF does throw me a little but it does work. However it's not often you see the eyes and mouth with such clarity and the nose so out of focus. I still like it though. I wish I had some of your skill.
