servas vasns, i wouldn't recognize the infraredfilm on this shot either, i made a comment because flo indicated that it is an infraredfilm and i know that flo bought one of these, which are not that cheap, when he visited me. and now i see he must have acquired another one, that's why i am asking him.

by the way machesi has written about in the book, but i am not that far yet, i just know the green appears to white (i hope this is correct :)). i have seen a scenic view on heidelberg shot with infrared and it looks cool with all the white leaves and stuff. i think the one shot of flo where i am stealing the tomatoes was also done in infrared.

its not really infra red film. it just has the reds going up until the beginning of the infra red range...

Nice exposure to get the detail on the hill. I think that I would crop from the bottom maybe to balance the sky and the hill...or, it also makes a neat shot cropped to a more vertical format with the subject 1/3 of the way into the frame.

thanks for the hint. i'll try that for sure to see what you mean. but this picture is fine for me. i dont see it unbalanced. the huge area of darkness fits perfectly in my opinion...

first of all thanks flo for putting that color scheme in there, it's amazing how far off the screens here are. the one at work shows the 3 to to left in identical black and the one in the library downtown even the first 4! and of course as usual concerning technical aspects, you were right about saying it's not an infrared film; i didn't know until yesterday when i read in the bible written by marchesi that the sensitivity was only up to 740nm. and to marco i have only seen one pic done using infrared film, and this one looked really stunning because for landscape and stuff like that the effect is pretty cool, but it is not something that i am planning on getting a deeper involvement with.

well huez, did u read what marchesi wrote about infra red films???? well for me it sounds like i don't need that shit at all, i mean funky effects, like white leaves and black sky, yeahh, but nowadays in the photoshop-century, i can't give any credits to such effects, cause nobody will see that it was done by "fair means", so i'm sure i will try one one day, but doesn't soud like i wanna get deeper into that, like u said u wouldn't either....although there are some pics i have in my mind u can only do with infra red, and huez if u read marchesi thoroughly than u know what i plan to do ;-) !!!!!

you are probably right about the photosghop thing, i am sure there is an infraredbutton you just hit and have the same effect (it is probably more difficut, but i am sure flo would know how to do it). and of course vasn i can imagine what you have in mind, but he also said it doesn't work, but i am sure you have bought the "woodsches sperrfilter" and are already working on the topic! :)
