Trust: The Lighthouse at Knarraros: Designed by the engineer Axel Sveinsson, and influenced by the ideas of Icelandic state Architect Gudjon Samuelsson. Its design is a blend of the functionalism and art nouveau (Jugend Still) styles, typical for Mr. Samuelsson. Among his other works is the Hallgrimskirkja church and the National Theater in Reykjavik. Built in 1938-1939, it was Iceland?s first Lighthouse built of reinforced concrete.
