Cropped and adjusted in PS. This time I removed TWO fence posts. Again, I'd love to know if you can tell.

This is one from my "road trip to Alaska" series. This was taken while

in Haines, after leaving the car in Skagway and setting off for a few

weeks touring the Inside Passage on the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry

system. This is a similar view as some of my other shots, this time

with a wider lens. Again, I used my non-existant photoshop skills to

remove TWO fence posts. Can you tell? Any comments or ratings are

geatly appreciated!

sorry to tell you that your photo looks too much like a bright and shining post card. the kind of things that hits no home. but still, good colours, good every, but originality.

nice job of excision on those fence posts. This sky is really great! Is that a polarizer or levels adjustment? Either way, it looks good. Your horizon appears to be tilting down ever so slightly on the left side. The composition seems well balanced. If this were mine, I think I would have reduced the foreground a little; just my own preference. But I have been criticized for having too much sky in some of my photographs. Regards.

However, IMO it must be viewed in large format to really appreciate the detail that you've captured. You might want to add a note stating as such.

Cheers,

Came back for a second look. Stike that comment about reducing the foreground...it's fine. I love those mountains! Regards.

A very nice photo.

But, something about the color is off though, in the latter part of this folder. It seems like what you might get with old film or bad developing. Now this might be a difference between Mac and PC gamma settings, but it appears that the shadows and midtones have a bit too much magenta, the hilites a bit too much cyan. Guess I'm being picky.

As for the level of the photo, I personally like it like this. The tilt in the horizon is a bit countered by the upward tilt of the shore and grassline. But given some of the comments I have gotten before, I may be alone in this opinion.
