Contemplative Nephew

Photos of people are not my strong point. With our amost-one-year-old nephew visiting this past week, I thought I'd try some portraits - babies are much eaiser to get good pictures of.

He's normally a smiley little guy, but I caught him here starting to doze off during a stroll.

As always, I'm looking forward to your comments & criticisms.

If I may make the suggestion to crop out a bunch of the fleece blanked at the bottom of the picture. I don't find having so much of it enhances the picture.

I thought this more severe crop focused better on his expression.

I think it works better with the new crop. I agree it helps to focus better on his expression. His eyes are certainlly more of a focal point. Are you happier with this version?
