vincentoiseau 83 Posted March 13, 2022 Hi TmJ, beautifully lit and very detailed photo of this great looking duck that we don't see here at all. At first I thought it was a tufted duck (aythya fuligula), but it obviously has no tuft and the feathers on its back are quite different. The Olympus did a great job here. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted March 13, 2022 Merci Beaucoup Vincent Oiseau ! This one is almost a fullsize image on the Olympus, hence, it looks very good. This is where I also like the Olympus also! Because of it's light weight, I can aim and wait patiently till the bird, the head or the eye is at just the right angle to show the details that I want and then shoot, Also, the zoom on the Olympus allow me to frame the bird perfectly without having to move around. I think the Canon R5 + RF 100-500mm lens is a good replacement option but that's also $7000 compares to my $1400 Oly's setup. Actually, $7000 is more than both my old Canon 7D Mark II + EF 500mm F4 IS & Olympus OMD-EM1 Mark II + Olympus 100-400mm F5-F6.3 setups . I've know many people who got much better equipment than I am and still don't have great image to show and I am just being cautious in upgrading ( after already lost a lot in previous 4/3 system & lens), Link to comment
