moment well caught, not quite the clarity of the canon

Thanks Greg & Verena! It's true what you said about the Canon image as being better.. Not all the time but most of the time for obvious reason - a 30%+ larger sensor! Also, the 500mm F4 is a top quality lens. To match the Canon 500mm F4 , I would need the Olympus 300mm F4 (which I had before and sold off becuse I could not shoot Peregrine with 4/3 system). OM System (JIP) which bought Olympus camera division (a scheme to get rid of dead weight from my perspective since in Japan you can not anybody go even if they are useless), is coming out with the OM-1 which I heard focus much better than what I am shooting with (OMD-EM1 Mark II). When the price settle, I may consider getting that body but right now they want $2100 and if I am going to pay that much I would rather buy an R5 body + adapter to shoot with my EF 500mm F4 IS.

I agree with Gregoty and Verena; the Canon shots are better in different ways, but the comparison is kind of invalid, as the two systems come with very different price tags. OM Systems has taken the direction of producing pretty expensive gear now in an attempt to change the reputation and and the target audience (wildlife and sports photographers). They spend lots of money on marketing. The reviews of the OM-1 are mostly very praiseful. Great shot (I almost forgot to mention that)! Kind regards, Vincent

Thanks Vincent Oiseau! I know what you mean about the comparison with two different system and different price tag. To me, each system has it's own merit!

The Canon is top notch but it's heavy and cumbersome and because if that I don't get certain shot. The Olympus is nimble/agile and a zoom setup and that allow me to get shots that the Canon cannot get. Even if I consolidate both setup (Canon & Olympus) by buying an Canon R5 I will still need to buy a 100-500mm to fill the space of the zoom feature of the Olympus m.zuiko 100-400mm . I think in the end I will get an OM-1 body as well as an R5 body (when the

price is right, LOL). I like both system and each give me different headache and joy! Always good to hear from you Vincent!
