Thanks Scott Edwardson! Mr Canon focus seems to do a good job even though the Canon 7D Mark II is turning 8 this year. This 7D II does not have eye/bird tracking and I am the eye/bird tracking mechanism but Mr Canon gives me the decent focus speed to allow capturing image like this. Also, the image stabilization is also very good since I hardly ever have any issue shooting with this almos 12lbs setup. I keep reading that the Olympus stabilizer works like a gyro but in actual usage I am not sure it's superior to the Canon IS ( just my opinion!).

Thanks Greg & Verena! I used the 9 point focus on the Canon 7D Mark II this morning and it seems to work well. I generally only using one single center focus point but the Canon seems to do well with multiple focus points. The Olympus is a joke with anything other than 1 single focus point, btw.

Another great shot with your 'old' 7D Mk II this time! It seems focusing worked very well. Maybe sticking with this setup for some time might not be a bad idea. Kind regards, Vincent

Thanks Vincent! Yup, I will continue using my 8 years old Canon 7D Mark II for a while more while I try to consolidate some of my equipment and go from there. Last count, I was down to 6 cameras, LOL! :-)
