Hi TmJ,

maybe the camera is slow at focusing, but the photographer operating it obviously did something right! Very nice capture in appealing morning light, for the kestrel too. Kind regards, Vincent

Thanks Vincent! Yes, this OMD-EM1 Mark II is much better than the original OMD-EM1 which prompted me to sold off my m.zuiko 300mm F4 PRO & Lumix/Leica 100-400mm before. This camera & lens combination will do fine with perching birds and some light BIF (bird in-flight) but I am still trying very hard to get shots like Osprey diving shot like I used to get with my Canon 7D Mark II + 500mm F4 IS. Incidentally, I met a gentleman with an Canon R5 & R6 + Canon RF 150-500mm lens the other day and that setup is only slightly larger and just a hair heavier than this Olympus setup. Of course, that cost about 5 times more than what I've paid for this Oly setup is the only reason I am still shooting with this. However, that sure got me wishing there since that's a fullframe setup and size and weight is almost the same while I know for sure focusing & ISO handling is a lot better . So far, I only tried ISO 3200 on this Oly's setup in early morning sunrise shots and the other fellow told me he had shot at 12,000+ ISO on his R5 & R6 with no problem. Good to hear from you Vincent!
