Thanks Gregory & Verena! Yup, it's the side lighting that light the bird, the fish and the ruffles much more dramatic than front lighting for sure. Glad that you like my bird images, it's not for everyone consumption but birdshooting is my addiction for over 12 years now (out of 45+ years of photography). I try to shoot other stuff now and then but ... it's so hopeless (since I don't have much interest in other stuff much, LOL). Btw, even my short term memory is somewhat fragile lately, I still remember that Verena used to live very close to Lucerne (of what you told me).
