Great point of view and action capture. I know this is migration time for the pelicans. I am curious where this was taken. I am originally from Illinois and thousands of them are passing through right now.

Thanks Brian Murphy! I am from SoCal and this shot was taken at San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary in Irvine , California (as most of my birdshots are ). I was actually testing out shooting my newly acquired used Olympus OMD-EM1 Mark II + Viltrox booster adapter + Canon 1.4x + Canon 500mm F4 IS . Marrying the Oly to the Canon lens with an adapter only give me single auto focus but this Viltrox seems to give me 'some ' continuous auto focus (now and then) and I am just testing it out. These White Pelican used to come down from Idaho (if I remember correctly) from the tag on them that we decipher a few years back.
