I have used the previous raw images, but this time I have used PTGui

to do the assembly, rather than Photoshop Elements, whose stitcher is

hardly for professionals. The lens aberrations were corrected with

Serif PhotoPlus, and the final finishing was with Paint Shop Pro. Now

there are no stitching marks. Please do not tell me that the

photograph is not quite straight. It is the building that is not

quite straight. Originally the Cathedral was built on marshy ground,

using wooden piles, rather than proper footings, which, over the

centuries, rotted away, so it warped. Now it has proper

underpinnings, put in by the hands of one man, a diver, William

Walker. It took him six years, and there is a statue of him in the

Retrochoir. It is a great shame that, at the size that I have to post

the image, you cannot make out the details in the ceiling.
