Courtship song - (Larus michahellis) - I photographed these two Yellow-legged gulls, during courtship, with Nikon D850, Sigma supertele 300-800mm, f / 8, 1/1000 sec, ISO 100. Thanks for your comments

Having seen and heard a myriad of gulls (different species, of course), I have no doubt that this courtship song carries for miles. Giangiorgio, this image is enchanting for several reasons. First, the birds' head positions obviously implies how loud their calls must be. Secondly, the dead vegetation wit its reflection has a somewhat abstract appearance . Finally, the presence of two tiny highlighted areas between the two birds is somewhat a mystery. Perhaps they are feathers. - -My best always, michael

Hi Giangiorgio,

wonderful shot of this courtship singing duo! The bird on the left looks like a one year-old, it still has juvenile (brown) features. The mirror effect of the water really works very well here. I like the saturated colors and of course the capture of this moment. Kind regards, Vincent

Hi Giangiorgio, another memorable image to say the least. I like the colors, reflections, the minimalism and soft background afforded by the "tele-compression" effect of a super zoom lens. Excellent technique; well done in all respects! Ciao, Charles
