Giangiorgio Crisponi 453 Posted June 22, 2021 Flamingos in flight - (Phoenicopterus ruber) - To obtain these photos I used the panning technique and at an exposure time no more than 50th sec, with the aim of obtaining the blur of the wings, thus giving a greater sense of dynamism. These are experiments that I have been trying recently, many attempts must be made to try to obtain the desired effect. I took this photo of the flamingos in flight with an exposure time of 1/50 sec, f / 22, ISO 64, with Nikon D850 camera, Sigma supertele 300-800mm, Thanks for your comments Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 259 Posted June 22, 2021 Nice capture although I don't think your desired effect is exactly necessary here because the sense of motion is being shown with the fact that they are in the air, IE flaying! Complimenti! Ciao! PDE Link to comment
Giangiorgio Crisponi 453 Posted June 22, 2021 Thank you so much Pierre for your comment always much appreciated. Since I have many photographs of flamingos stopped very clearly in flight, I wanted to experiment with the blur of the wings to accentuate the sense of movement. ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment

vincentoiseau 83 Posted June 22, 2021 Hi Giangiorgio, in this second 'twin series' of birds on the move I prefer this photo over the other one. Here the wings of the birds are the only thing blurred and this photo has the advantage of perfectly opposite wing positions, which the other doesn't. But that one has a composition that's just a bit nicer, hard choice. I like both, but this one just a little better. Well done! Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
