Phil_Light 795 Posted July 12, 2021 @Jean-Claude; No thanks, totally like it where it is. That's the beauty of photographic art. I put it out there and you can appreciate it as is or not. Link to comment
Jean-Claude 356 Posted July 15, 2021 My point is to learn from other, not to be negativ, no! Interesting would be knowing why my idea doesn't please or why keep the picture as it is. Your point of view is important to me. Thank you. Link to comment
Phil_Light 795 Posted July 17, 2021 @Jean-Claude; Thanks for your clarification. My approach is to already have the image cropped as desired to emphasize form, light, tonalities, and textures that strike a harmonious combination (for me). The image has either been pre-cropped (unless done in the camera) in post processing. As I said previously, the beauty of photographic figure art in particular, is that the photographer gets to present a point of view that they are most happy with and the viewer has the opportunity to respond in whatever way they feel it strikes something within their aesthetic. Your cropping suggestions are not something I want to incorporate in my finished image. If it works better another way for you; 'se la vie,' such is the personal aesthetic that you prefer. Thanks for taking the time to comment however, it is always appreciated. Link to comment
