Jack McRitchie 150 Posted June 11, 2021 You caught this at just the right time of day where natural light and artificial light can harmonize beautifully. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted June 11, 2021 Jack, thanks very much for noticing what drew me into this scene initially and then to take the photograph. Quite honestly, since this occurred at least 7 years ago, I'm not sure if I was doing as much post work as I do currently. Link to comment

vincentoiseau 83 Posted June 13, 2021 Hi Michael, walking in a deserted park can certainly be daring. This photo has a very pleasing composition, with the three trees and the man with the backpack just left of the middle one. Jack is right about the balance between natural and artificial light; it makes for a very special mood. I just wonder about the threat from what seems to be a giant chicken lurking in the shadows (just behind the left of the three trees). Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted June 14, 2021 Vincent, your comments are always welcome. As I recall, I wasn't daring when I shot this photo. I've been in NYC so often that I feel like a native. From true native Appleites, I've learned that the best way to survive is not to look frightened (despite having huge mental jitters). As to the chicken, I had to investigate by enlarging the image. To me, the chicken turned out to be a crouching person. - - My best always, michael Link to comment
