Giangiorgio Crisponi 425 Posted December 31, 2020 Flamingos- Take off- (Phoenicopterus roseus). I photographed these flamingos taking off, at the first golden light of dawn, from the top of a hill overlooking the lagoon of Cagliari. Nikon D300s, Sigma supertele 300-800mm, f / 5.6, 1/2500 sec, ISO 200. Thanks for your comments Link to comment

tai 3 Posted December 31, 2020 Delightful golden image, Giangiorgio! Magnificent composition created by birds, their footprints on the water, splashes ... plus reflections. I'm wondering if flamingos always move in parallel lines when taking off? Or is this a performance for you? Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana Link to comment

michaellinder 16,611 Posted January 1, 2021 Giangiorgio, you've started the new year with a bang. This image is another that shows your fascination with flamingos and shooting them as silhouettes, and is just as spectacular as the others. The hints of highlights are quite dynamic. Overall, this is a masterpiece in every respect. - - My best always and sincere wishes for a spectacular new year, michael - - Ciao! Link to comment

vincentoiseau 83 Posted January 2, 2021 Hi Giangiorgio, what a way to start off the new photography year! We've had a terrible year and I sincerely hope this one will be better. I really like the frozen action of the flamingos taking off and the golden glow of early morning. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment

tom_kotzur 2 Posted January 3, 2021 ...BEAUTIFUL capture....everything about it! The color, the backlit lighting and the freezing of the movement....a once in a lifetime photo image. (But one thing for my own sanity....was this same photo submitted in the past? I feel like I've seen it before..."deja vu all over") Link to comment
