Birds of prey - Black kite in flight (Milvus migrans). I photographed this Black kite in flight in the Monfragou Park region - Extremadura Spain. This bird is free in nature. Nikon D500, Sigma sport 150-600mm, f / 7,1, 1/2500 sec, ISO 560. Thanks for your comments

Giangiorgio, I was fortunate to watch a program dealing with animal flight. In this photo, the bird appears to be gaining altitude (wings above the torso and curved); its companion shows the bird in cruising mode (wings somewhat level). In this case, although both images are outstanding, this one shows the bird staring straight ahead. Its facial appearance is both intense and menacing. - - My best always, michael
