Landrum Kelly 64 Posted August 27, 2020 Great one, Michael! I feel like I am back in 1966 watching "Blowup."-- Lannie Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted August 27, 2020 Hi Michael, framed by the two treetrunks, we're looking at a brightly lit patch of grass land in a wooded area. I like the composition and the choice for B & W. The focus point seems to be around the transition from dark to light. The Z-shape (from top to bottom) is very pleasing, as well as the silhouettes of the bare branches against the brighter grass on the right. Very nicely seen and shot; if this were my image, I would edit the tones and contrast a little further to create even more drama, but that would change the mood altogether and might not be at all what you aim for with this photo. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted August 28, 2020 Lannie, is it really you? Can I see some ID? What an unexpected treat to hear from you. I don't know if you're aware of this, but an number of PN members (Jack, Wolfgang, Wouter, et. al.) are now posting on Instagram. And, by the way, I'm glad you found my image worth your time. - - My best always, michael 1 Link to comment
Giangiorgio Crisponi 451 Posted August 28, 2020 Bravo Michael. The result of a beautiful photograph is to arouse interest in the viewer and pause to appreciate every single detail, the B&W enhances this beautiful photo, I agree with Vincent's comment. ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted August 28, 2020 Vincent, your thoughtful remarks are much appreciated. I certainly understand why you suggested adding more contrast, but my aim for this image was to reinforce my own feeling for the place at which I shot it. - - My best always, michael Link to comment
