Thanks, Michael. That parked bicycle sort of sums up my current condition, though I h'm probably not as gaudily festive as the above subject. I still keep working on my photos but have pretty much lost interest in PN and have even slowed my contributions to Instagram lately. The idea of a supportive community of creative people has pretty much died, I think, replaced by people armed with an array of emoji, more interested in the number of followers and "likes" they can amass than in making any kind of person to person contact. I'm kind of tired of the whole thing. Anyway, thanks again for remembering me. Best wished, Jack

Jack, I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment of both PN and Instagram. Usually the images I post for critique on PN, if they receive any attention at all, they are in the form of "admires," which are Instagram's equivalent of likes. Likes are it in connection with images posted on other Forums, like NW. Quite honestly, there are 4 to 5 other photographers who follow my work on PN and who lend their comments. But critiques rarely are used for learning experiences. At this point in my life, I really have no interest in looking for another site. Sigh . . . Finally, the above image probably would look less gaudy if it were in B & W. Keep on keepin' on, my friend.
