Thanks for the identification, Laurent. I didn't notice a hood ornament before I took the shot. It was backed up tight to the pane glass window, so I didn't look at the car's tail end. Glad you liked the photo. - - My best always, michael - - - PS There's an antique car museum in Fort Lauderdale that includes an amazing collection of Packards.

Hi Michael,

a very nice vintage automobile identified by Laurent as a Packard. I like the exposure and the angle, but you easily could have left out the two car wrecks with plastic on them on the right and waited for the guy in the background with the camera to walk out of the frame. I hope you don't mind me saying this; I like your photo, but its presentation can be improved. Kind regards, Vincent

Vincent, not only do I not mind your candor, but I would wish for it. FYI, the guy with the camera is me. The car is tight against a large expanse of glass. Next time I'm in this location, I'll try a different shooting location. You are 100% right about the two wrecks. I should have cropped them out, - - My best always, michael

You know it is a classic because it has dominoes hanging from the rear view mirror, Michael. The opposing windshield wipers are interesting too. Excellent colors, light and details. Best regards, Paul.

Many thanks, Paul. Cotton pairs of dice hanging from a car mirror were quite in fashion in the 50s and 60s, but not so much later in time. Clearly, the style and function of the wipers also date back, to when I've not been able to discover. Glad you liked the image. - - My best always, michael

ZT, thanks so much for your kind words. If I had intended the image to be a so-called selfie (hate the word), I would have stood at a greater angle to the car! - - My best always, michael
