Grazie Mille Giangiorgio! Actually this Snowy Egret got lucky there by catching the Dragonfly while they were mating. The other one got away ...after unhooking :-)

an amazing capture of this snowy egret catching a dragonfly. In summer, egrets tend to look for prey above the water as much as below the surface, I've noticed that the (great) egrets dip their dragonflies in the water in order to swallow them more easily. Kind regards, Vincent

Thanks Vincent! He was stalking for dragonfly even though I could not see the mating dragonfly well, I know enough that he's going to strike and got ready for it .. voila!
