I got lucky with this event since all I saw was a bird flying by (no prey) and since I like to shoot flying bird in sequence I keep shooting as she gets closer. Next thing I know, through the viewfinder I see that she got the prey hanging by the beak and then something came in to get it ... Upon processing these images, I realize that the chick came in and actually missed catching the prey. She somehow did double back and got it but I have no idea since it's out of my viewfinder (all of that). Note that from the time I shoot the flying bird coming by till all this happen it was no more than 1 second since my camera takes 10 frames per second and I only have about 5 shots. Link to comment
