Paul, I don't know the age of the park to which the stairs lead, but I do agree with you about the railing. Then again, Jerusalem runs the gamut between ancient and contemporary. The stairs are built from Jerusalem stone which, during bright sunlight, has extraordinary color. Gratefully, michael
