tai 3 Posted April 17, 2020 Marvelous scene, Michael! A beautiful architectural structure, light, textures plus such different characters! I guess two out of five are drawn (or mannequins). I like the layering of this image, visual and semantic. Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted April 20, 2020 Hi Michael, I couldn't agree with Tatiana more on this image; it's the diversity of people (and cloth dolls) in the picture against what I think are three layers of old/historic stone that makes it come alive. Too bad there's a plastic bag in the foreground, but that's a sign of the times too. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment

michaellinder 16,611 Posted April 21, 2020 Vincent - Many thanks for your astute eye. Especially in Jerusalem, one finds structures built on the top of others, sometimes resulting the sorts of layers you mentioned. Now on to the plastic bag - I don't shoot street photos as often as I would like, but when I do, I want them to be realistic. I remember thinking about cloning out the bag, and then deciding to leave it as is. - - My best always, michael Link to comment
pablowarko 1 Posted August 1, 2020 An image of many layers with a lot of depth with many things to look at, Michael. You have different gradients of light and textures with lots of lines, geometric pattens and curves. A great deal of depth and variety in structures. I was wondering if the one stone with the two holes was natural or man made? An image of continuing discoveries. The most important thing are the people viewed in their normal everyday process. Excellent capture and presentation. Best regards, Paul. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted August 2, 2020 This, to me, is one of my better street shots, regardless of the fact that purists would insist on b & w. Paul, sadly I can't answer your question about the wall with the 2 windows. I will say, though, that this scene fascinated me from the moment I laid eyes on it. I'm so grateful for your very kind words. - - My best always, michael Link to comment
