Coitus interruptus. The mating of these flamingos was interrupted by a very jealous rival in love. Nikon D300s, f / 5,6, 1 / 1250sec, ISO 200. Thanks for your comments

Emotional picture, Giangiorgio! Strong moment! Without your comment, I would not understand why they quarrel! Perfectly captured family scene! Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana

There's lots of drama in this image, Giangiorgio, quite aside from the interloping bird. I'm referring to the strong contrasts, the appealing color palette, and the sharp detail. The bird taking a drink shows a bit of drool, and the one on the far right clearly has kicked up some bubbles in the water. By the way, I suspect that this image isn't the result of scanning film you used years ago. - - My best always, michael - - Ciao!

Thanks Michael for your interesting observations. This is not an old scanned photo, it was taken recently, glad you liked it, ciao Giangiorgio

Hi Giangiorgio,

a magnificent photo of these mating flamingos and a jealous competitor! It seems the mating itself isn't too interesting to the female, and the male is obviously disturbed by its rival. Your title is most appropriate. Well seen and shot. Kind regards, Vincent

Unbelievably captured the right moment on the right place, Giangiorgio! There were many bird watchers on this site, but I've never seen something like this before! Complimenti, maestro! PDE
