This lovely little fragile bird is perfectly captured, Giangiorgio! I wonder what the crested lark sings about? Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana

Nice image of a crested lark that Francis of Assisi believed to be a bird of special significance, because of its modestly colored plumage, hood, and song.

Saint Bonaventure, an early Franciscan theologian, in his work about the "Life of Saint Francis", describes a gathering of larks, which appeared “at the hour of the holy man’s passing ", ciao Sandor

I was curious and went on DPReview to see the characteristics (specifications) of your Nikon D500. Quite impressive as this wonderful photo taken with it. 7/7 from me! Complimenti, Giangiorgio! PDE

Hi Giangiorgio,

such a crisp and sunny photo of this lark! Its's beautifully composed, the colors are spot-on and it's a real action portrait, with the bird singing to attract a mate. Well done! Kind regards, Vincent
