Ants in action.

In these days when we are forced to stay indoors to avoid the Coronavirus I photographed these ants in my garden on a Nasturtium leaf (Tropaelum majus) intent on sacking the eggs of the Cabbage butterfly (Pieris brassica) and drinking from a few drops of water. Nikon d850, Sigma macro 105mm. F / 18, 1 / 200sec, ISO 250. Thanks for your comments

Excellent macro. It transmits quite a lot of behavioral information that reminds the image of Bence Máté entitled 'Marvel of Ants' that won the Wildlife Photographer of the Year grand title in 2010, ciao Sandor

Hi Giangiorgio,

this is a really marvelous macro! Your photo tells a whole story already with its beautiful light and all the amazing details you have photographed so skilfully; your knowledgeable introduction comment adds a lot of value too. Kind regards, Vincent

Either the lens is excellent or you are the master of macro photography (most likely both)! It's amazing how sharp and crisp is the whole image without any distortion or shortcoming of any kind! Complimenti, maestro Crisponi! PDE

Hello, Giangiorgio Crisponi. It should be fun to watch the movement in nature these days. It helps a lot to relieve tension. They are very lovable. Thank you for sharing this beauty with us. With the advent of spring, we have the opportunity to travel to your garden.

PS. During these days (20-21 March) we are celebrating spring holiday. Happy Spring Holiday! Wish you all heath and prosperity!

Best regards, Aygun
