What's so interesting about 4 people walking together on this sidewalk in Toyosakicho is that each individual is doing something different than the others. The only one looking straight ahead while walking is the man in the center, back row; the man in the front whose hands are clasped together appears to be meditating, and his eyes appear to be pointed downward slightly. The man in the back left has his hands in his pants' pockets, while the man at the other end is gesturing with his left arm and hand. I'm surprised that only two of them are wearing masks; the other two are more daring perhaps. There are three other elements that make this "ordinary street scene" even more interesting: the three bicycles parked in front of Sagawa, the small puddle with an even smaller reflection in the bottom right, and the small white square on the sidewalk. And, yes, I do see several diagonals.

Thanks for the in depth comment, Michael; I assure you none of this was planned - see picture, take picture. However, that isn't to say that it's all a crap shoot. I believe we process information almost instantaneously and being "in the zone" means being out of your head and in the moment. I think that that's what Garry Winogrand was saying when he said "I get totally out of myself. It's the closest I come to not existing, I think, which is the best - which is to me attractive." I wonder what people think when they read that.

Like what you manage to capture, that historical moment and setting it appeared to be in, well seen and presented.
