Guest Guest Posted October 27, 2003 Very well realized idea... the baby position n shape are great. Just a minor point is the egg seems a bit small to contain this baby (although I understood that baby is already born...).... another version with broken or cracked egg ?! Link to comment
rick vincent 1 Posted October 27, 2003 A good point Jacques, and one that was actually considered for this composition. Perfectly matching the egg size to the baby just looked too symmetrical (too perfect). The egg also tended to dominated the left half of the image which I did not like. Link to comment
rick vincent 1 Posted October 27, 2003 A bit of eggism from the Williams camp. These two seem to have something in common. Link to comment
valerie_maccabe 0 Posted October 27, 2003 Love it! Although the egg looks a bit flat. Link to comment

nicolasray 0 Posted October 28, 2003 Great print and wonderful idea. The baby is right on, the egg seems a bit flat without dimension. You should try, just as an experiement, rotating the canvas, using a lighter background, and placing the child inside. Have the egg as a very transparent suggesion of an egg. That was a horrible sentence. Good shot... Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted October 28, 2003 I like this as it is. I think the cracked idea is cracked because a cracked egg would be so strong graphically that it would overpower the baby. In my opinion, this was the right place to stop. Link to comment
MichaelChang 12 Posted October 29, 2003 stare at a large view long enough, you might (as I saw) come to view the egg's apparent suspension in space about 3' in front of the baby, which to me, would draw a much stronger relationship to the baby's facial expression - too bad the solid black background doesn't facilitate an observer to such a perspective. Beautiful shot of a beautiful baby, Rick. Link to comment
