Carolina

The wood duck or Carolina duck (Aix sponsa) is a species of perching ducks found in North America. It was brought to Europe in the 17th century and the species was often kept in captivity. The birds observed on lakes and rivers in Europe like this one on the photo is likely to have escaped from captivity.
