Hylle 0 Posted February 11, 2020 I'm not a big fan of the frame, as I think it steels to much attention. But I definitely like your texture and the way the artifact emerges from the scratched surface. An abstract yes, but an abstract that piques my curiosity and imagination. Link to comment
tai 3 Posted February 11, 2020 Dynamic picture and title, Jack! It’s like taking off, a runner’s low start, a pent-up emotion, ... Interesting PP plus multi-valued perception, Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted February 12, 2020 Lars, Tatiana - Thanks for taking the time to comment on this picture. Lars, you might be right about the border; a bridge too far. Tatiana, thanks as always for your comment and support. You are a treasure and a reminder that this site was once a vibrant and energetic community. Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 567 Posted February 12, 2020 Don't know why (art isn't always explained) but I find this image a masterful work. My brain ignores the frame and luxuriates in the pure pleasure of form and texture. Link to comment
bruckner 518 Posted February 12, 2020 Like the way you post processed the image, somehow I am perceiving logographic kanji in this abstract, well done. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted February 12, 2020 Jack, I find this image to represent philosophy in its best form - a pure thought experiment. The dark properties of the emergent object are unique to the object as a whole. The image also is a unique piece of photographic art (and a favorite). Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 567 Posted February 13, 2020 I think I was wrong about ignoring the frame. I was just not conscious how much the frame/border and its hue helped me to see this excellent art. Link to comment
